The Ventnor Commissioners and the Planning Board are currently exploring plans for the redevelopment of commercial property along Wellington Ave, adjacent to Ventnor Plaza.
Developer Steven Yenowitz, representing Ventnor Holdings, LLC, is proposing the construction of a self-storage facility on the premises. The proposed facility would feature an indoor storage building along with outdoor storage at the rear designated for RVs and boats.
A video of the Ventnor Board of Commissioners’ meeting on Thursday, Nov. 9, is available for further insights into the discussion.
It’s worth noting that in 2018, there might have been a designation of that parcel as ‘an area in need of redevelopment’.
Notably, the existing Dollar General store will be retained within this redevelopment plan.
To ensure community input, there will be two public hearings to discuss and gather perspectives on this proposed redevelopment project.
