Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine has partnered with AtlantiCare to establish a new regional campus in Atlantic City. As a result, the location will become one of four primary sites for the medical school.
The new campus is expected to play a key role in addressing physician shortages across southeastern New Jersey. In turn, expanded training opportunities will be created within the AtlantiCare system.
AtlantiCare operates more than 110 locations and serves over one million residents. Therefore, the partnership is positioned to deliver meaningful regional impact.
In addition, the collaboration is expected to support new research and educational initiatives. As a result, improved healthcare outcomes may be achieved across the region.
The campus will also contribute to workforce development efforts. Notably, new pathways for medical students are expected to be introduced locally.
The initiative aligns with AtlantiCare’s Vision 2030 strategy. This plan focuses on long-term investment, innovation, and clinical growth across South Jersey.
Ultimately, the partnership is intended to strengthen healthcare delivery while expanding access to medical education.
