Atlantic City’s Showboat Readies Final Renovation Phase

Showboat Renovation

The Showboat Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is finishing up $50 million in renovations set to be done to coincide with the debut of its new $100 million indoor water park this summer.

Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein, the Showboat’s owner, on Tuesday said the final phase of remodeling the hospitality property’s 800 rooms, suites, lobby and other common areas is underway. The Showboat, located at 801 Boardwalk, is the largest noncasino hotel in New Jersey.

The latest stage of the improvements includes an overhaul of the Showboat’s rooms, with upgrades such as coastal-themed furnishings designed to emulate the beachfront location. All rooms will offer state-of-the-art key lock technology enabled by guests’ personal phones. And the new designs for the lobby and other common areas will be themed around Atlantic City’s big asset: the beach.
