Atlantic City casinos saw mixed results in the second quarter, according to revenue numbers released Monday by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, but the money casinos brought in from non-gaming sources signals a return to the diversified revenue streams seen prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Casinos in the New Jersey gambling destination brought in close to $829 million in revenue during the three-month period from April to June, a 14% jump over last year’s second-quarter numbers and a 3% increase compared to 2Q 2019. Net profit saw a 1% decline year over year to $183.6 million, but that was still a 15% increase over 2019.
